Responsible for coordinating the end-to-end shipping process by managing operational processes in inventory management, order picking, loading, and dispatch, providing oversight for Senior Management in the deployment of resources, designing, disseminating, and implementing operational procedures and guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and implement Departmental operational procedures, guidelines, and systems.
- Coordinate the end-to-end Shipping processes.
- Deploy all necessary resources to accomplish tasks.
- Lead the transfer of stock from Production to Shipping.
- Review Sales order slips and dispatch for loading.
- Authorizing shipping-related operational and business transactions.
- Conduct Stock audits.
- Generate Reports for Management and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate with up-country Depots and process their requirements.
- Supervise Shipping Staff and attend to the Staff issues.
- Post entries into SAP, i.e, Sales orders, STOs, stock movement.
- Verify and authorize the loading and dispatch of loaded trucks.
- Review and authorize invoices for dispatch.
- Provide on-the-job training to Staff.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management/Retail Logistics, or related
- A relevant Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- 5 years relevant experience, preferably in FMCG industry
- Effective People management skills
- Problem solving skills
