The Head of ICT is responsible for leading and directing the delivery of ICT Services throughout the Bank. This includes enhancing the Bank’s ICT strategy, employing the best ICT systems and digital platforms, and ensuring that the Bank achieves its overall strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive ICT Strategy that aligns with the Bank’s business objectives and goals.
- Developing long-term plans to sustain and support the business
- Overseeing the development and deployment of ICT systems, in line with agreed service and performance standards, and industry best practices, in support of the Bank’s objectives
- Ensuring effective management of ICT applications and services, including core banking systems, digital channels, and other business applications.
- Improving and modernizing the Bank’s ICT physical and virtual infrastructure, including data centers, networks and servers
- Developing and implementing effective cyber security measures to protect the Bank’s ICT systems and data.
- Designing the Bank’s ICT Contingency Plan, encompassing BCP and DRP.
- Ensuring ICT operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Developing and managing the ICT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Managing the Human Resources aspect of the ICT Department.
- Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, including business leaders, vendors, and regulators.
Key Requirements
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)/Master of Science (MSc) in ICT or a similar relevant postgraduate qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant equivalent.
- Professional Certifications like CISA, CCNP, and CDP.
- 7–10 years of working experience in a Financial Services Sector ICT environment, 5 years of which should be at a Senior Management level.
