In the Financial Services and Real Estate Industry, and reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Director is responsible for Strategic Planning and Execution, Investments, Budgeting, Financial and Risk management, as well as managing the Finance Department. The position also ensures integrity of financial information as well as implementing effective internal controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. As part of the Leadership Team, develop a robust business Strategy and oversee its effective implementation
  2. Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans and budgets, including capital expenditure plans.
  3. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, potential risks and areas of improvement.
  4. Provide financial insights and analysis to inform key business decisions.
  5. Provide insightful financial reporting to senior management and the board of directors.
  6. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting as per accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
  7. Manage cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital and ensure equitable distribution of resources.
  8. Oversee banking relationships and debt management where applicable.
  9. Manage internal controls to mitigate financial risks and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
  10. Lead the Investment strategy, identifying and evaluating investment opportunities across different asset classes.
  11. Manage Investment portfolios, including asset allocation, diversification, and risk mitigation, and monitor market trends and make necessary adjustments to investment strategies.
  12. Lead and develop the Finance team
  13. Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investment advisors.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  3. A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIS.
  4. At least 8-10 years experience in a Senior role.
